While prices mentioned in social media, emails, and blog posts are accurate at the time of publication, they may change without prior notice. For the latest pricing, please refer to our website. We reserve the right to decline sales at an incorrect or lower price if the pricing error is obvious and unmistakable.

Product

The details of the products, including quantity and description, will be outlined in the Seller's quotation. The Seller reserves the right to modify the specification of the Products, provided such changes do not significantly impact their quality or performance, to comply with applicable statutory requirements if the Products are supplied to the Seller’s specification. Product images serve as illustrations only. While the Seller endeavours to accurately depict colours, variations may occur due to individual computer settings, resulting in slight differences between the delivered products and the images. Despite the Seller's efforts to accurately describe items, minor variations may still arise. The Seller offers detailed product information on their website, and customers seeking further clarification or information should contact the customer services team. It's the Buyer's responsibility to ensure that the furniture fits their home before placing an order, especially for large products, as dimensions may vary by up to +/- 5 cm from those provided in the item description. Items are sold as presented on the website, and no alterations to dimensions or design are permitted. Any changes to the order, such as colour or  configuration, must be communicated within 3 working days of placing the order; after this period, changes cannot be accommodated.

 

Shipping and Delivery

  • The delivery cost is determined by the weight not destination. To simplify the estimation of delivery costs, please refer to the price list below.

  • We kindly request all our customers to compare the dimensions of their ordered goods with the dimensions of their passageways, including doors, corridors, and bends, to ensure a proper fit. We cannot be held responsible if the ordered goods do not fit. It is the buyer's responsibility to confirm the sizes, as dimensions cannot be the basis for complaints or refunds in such cases.
  • Typically, when an order consists of multiple items, all items will be delivered simultaneously once they are all available. The lead times provided are approximate and contingent upon stock availability and location. In the case of orders with multiple items, the longest individual delivery time will apply to the entire order.
  • Delivery is restricted to mainland Great Britain addresses only. We do not deliver to islands and isles.
  • Deliveries will only be made to the address specified in the buyer's original order and will not be left without a signature.
  • The items offered by the seller are manufactured to order and produced in Poland. The delivery time reflects the duration required to deliver the items to the buyer's residence. Each item's maximum delivery time is indicated in the item description.
  • Once the buyer agrees to accept the delivery and confirms the date, if for any reason they are not present at the delivery address, the seller reserves the right to impose a re-delivery charge equivalent to the original delivery cost.
  • We reserve the right to cancel orders when we are unable to contact the buyer to discuss delivery arrangements.
  • We cannot guarantee an exact delivery time, but our delivery team may call up to 120 minutes prior to the scheduled delivery date. If more notice is required, please inform our customer service team as soon as possible.
  • A minimum of 2 days' notice will be provided prior to delivery.
  • The seller reserves the right not to deliver an order if the address is deemed insecure, such as to a communal postal address or PO box. If this affects a placed order, the seller will notify the buyer promptly.
  • It is the buyer's responsibility to ensure easy access for delivery, such as by providing appropriate instructions if the property is gated and/or has a concierge.
  • Delivery is only to the ground floor (specifically to the front doors of the building), and goods will not be carried inside or upstairs. If the buyer requests assistance from the drivers, they must arrange it directly with them. Such assistance is subject to the drivers' goodwill, and Furniture-DIY cannot facilitate it on the buyer's behalf.
  • The buyer is responsible for moving the goods inside their home and into the desired room, and Furniture-DIY cannot accept responsibility for any damages caused by the buyer during this process.
  • The delivery team is unable to move or dispose of any of the buyer's old furniture.
  • Please note that in rare instances, the delivery service may change. In such cases, the customer service team will contact the buyer prior to delivery to inform them of any changes.
  • During peak seasons before Christmas and Easter, delivery times may be extended by 5-10 working days due to factors beyond our reasonable control.

 

Product Usage and Guarantees:

Our products are intended for domestic private residential use only; we do not provide guarantees for usage in commercial, contract, or public settings.

Each product comes with a one-year manufacturing guarantee, excluding:

- General wear and tear
- Damage incurred during routine cleaning
- Intentional misuse or neglect
- Damage to property or flooring during use
- Normal wear and tear due to product usage and exposure to elements
- Any modifications or repairs altering the original specifications

Please note that domestic products used in commercial environments are not covered under our guarantees.

 

Warranty and Liability

  1. The Seller guarantees all items sold with a manufacturer’s warranty lasting 12 months, unless specified as damaged or ex-display at the time of sale.
  2. The Seller will furnish the Buyer with necessary details to facilitate claims under the manufacturer’s warranties. Should a claim arise, the Buyer should initially reach out to the Seller’s customer service department.
  3. Unless the Buyer is acting as a Consumer, any implied warranties, conditions, or terms regarding fitness for purpose, quality, or product conditions, whether by statute, common law, or otherwise, are entirely excluded within the limits of the law.
  4.  To the extent permitted by law, the Seller's sole responsibility under these terms and conditions is to rectify any shortage or non-delivery, replace or repair any items received damaged or defective, or refund the Buyer for the actual amount paid for the concerned goods, at the Seller's discretion.

 

Warranty Terms and Conditions

  1. The Guarantor ensures the Buyer of the furniture's quality and proper functionality for 12 months from the delivery date.
  2. The warranty excludes damages from improper transport, assembly by the Buyer, acts of nature, or any reductions in price due to damage.
  3. Upon receipt, the Buyer must inspect the quality, completeness, and functionality of the furniture.
  4. Visible defects, damages, or component shortages must be reported by the Buyer for warranty to apply.
  5. Any modifications by the Buyer void the warranty.
  6. The Guarantor isn't liable if the Buyer was aware of defects upon inspection or received compensation for faults.
  7. Incompatibilities in self-assembly products must be reported within a month of detection.
  8. Any faults during the warranty period must be reported immediately to the Seller, who will respond within 14 days.
  9. Warranty repairs will be completed within 35 working days from collection.
  10. The Guarantor isn't obligated to provide temporary replacements during repairs.
  11. Warranty period extends for the duration of unresolved complaints preventing product use.
  12. The Guarantor will repair or replace defective parts to ensure conformity with the contract, with repairs conducted at the Buyer's address if feasible.
  13. Irremovable defects may result in a price reduction with Buyer's consent.
  14. Irremovable defects may lead to product replacement or refund if Buyer agrees and returns the product.
  15. Additional charges may apply if product quality diminishes due to misuse, modifications, or incomplete returns.
  16. Delays in complaint resolution are excused if caused by Buyer-attributable reasons.

 

Exclusions from Manufacturer's Warranty:

  1. Damage from improper use, transport, handling, or self-installation by the Buyer.
  2. Damage from Buyer-made repairs or alterations to the order.

 

Returns Policy

Upon receiving the order, the Buyer has a 14-day window to notify the Seller of their decision to return the items. The Buyer is responsible for arranging and covering the cost of returning the goods to the Supplier.

It is imperative that any items intended for return are made available for collection within 14 days and are in the same condition as received. The Seller cannot issue a full refund if there are any indications of damage or misuse. The Buyer assumes ownership of the furniture upon delivery and is accountable for any loss or damage thereafter. Failure to handle the furniture with reasonable care may result in a claim against the Buyer.

To mitigate any potential claims, the Seller urges the Buyer to return the goods in appropriate packaging to prevent damage during transit. The Buyer is legally obligated to take care of the goods. In instances where cancelled orders result in damaged, distressed, worn, scratched, modified, or incomplete items, the Seller reserves the right to deduct an appropriate amount from the refund, up to the full cost of the product, based on the condition of the returned product.

Once the Seller confirms receipt of the cancellation and inspects the returned item for damages and missing parts, the Buyer will receive a refund via the original payment method, minus the collection cost.

If applicable, the Buyer permits the Seller to recoup the Collection Service Charge by: debiting any credit or debit card of the Seller immediately after issuing a refund, or offsetting the Service Charge against any refund made.

The Buyer acknowledges that the Seller may impose a charge for damages to compensate for any losses resulting from the Buyer's failure to handle the products with reasonable care.

Refunds processed via credit or debit card or PayPal may not reflect immediately in the Buyer's account due to bank processing times, which can take several working days. For inquiries, please contact the card issuer or bank directly.

 

Exceptions to the right of withdrawal

In accordance with The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 (Part 3, Regulation 28, Schedule 1, subsection B), certain exceptions apply to the buyer's right to withdraw from a contract if they change their mind. These exceptions include:

  • Bespoke items: Custom-made or personalized items cannot be returned, as they are tailored to the individual's specifications and cannot be resold. This includes sofas, beds, table and chair sets made to specific order with chosen colour combinations, fabrics, sizes, etc. Such bespoke items are exempt from the standard returns policy and can only be returned if not of satisfactory quality or not as described.

  • Flat-pack items: Items sold in flat-packs for self-assembly cannot be returned if they have been assembled or partially assembled, except if they are not of satisfactory quality or not as described. If the product is damaged before or during assembly, the buyer should halt assembly and contact the seller for replacement parts. Attempting to assemble a damaged item may result in further charges if the buyer is responsible for additional damage.

  • Diminished value of returned goods: Consumers returning self-assembly goods purchased at a distance or off-premises may be liable for any diminished value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to inspect the items. This condition is imposed because the seller may be unable to determine if damage occurred due to the buyer's handling or if the item was already damaged upon delivery and assembled before the seller was notified of any issues.

  • Hygiene-related items: Mattresses, sofa beds, or unfolding chairs are excluded from returns if they have been opened, used, or unpacked, unless they remain unopened, unused, and packed, or if they have been used with a mattress protector. Once unsealed, mattresses or sofa beds are considered used and can only be returned if not of satisfactory quality or not as described. 

 

Pre-Delivery Order Cancellations

Buyers are entitled to cancel their orders before delivery at no cost by notifying the Seller in writing via email at customerservice@furniture-diy.com or by contacting our Customer Service. However, once the ordered goods have arrived, the Buyer must accept them as per the agreement.

 

Social Media Community Guidelines:

At Furniture-DIY, we cherish our community of customers and value the interactions we share on social media. Our platforms are spaces for product showcases, styling insights, inspiration, and meaningful conversations about interiors.

To maintain a positive and safe environment for all, it's essential to safeguard both our customers and our staff who manage these spaces. We are committed to keeping everyone informed and updated on shopping and interiors-related matters.

Hence, we reserve the right to delete comments, block users, and remove any content from our social media channels (including Facebook and Instagram) that jeopardizes our ability to uphold this safe environment.

 

Behaviour's that violate these guidelines and will not be tolerated include:

- Discriminatory, obscene, inflammatory, harassing, hateful, threatening, profane, or personally abusive content.
- Profanity, vulgarity, personal attacks, or comments defaming or slandering the brand or individuals.
- Comments deemed as spam.
If your comment pertains to an order, we kindly ask you to send us a direct message (DM) for privacy reasons. We prioritize addressing such matters privately, either via DM or email.

Should you persist in posting about an issue without adhering to this guideline or repeatedly comment on multiple posts, we reserve the right to delete duplicate comments. Rest assured, we will respond to one of them, either directly or by requesting a DM.

In the event of behaviour contrary to these guidelines, we will remind users of our community standards. If such behaviour persists, we reserve the right to block users and remove their comments.

  • "Buyer" refers to the individual who purchases or agrees to purchase the Products from the Seller.
  • "Conditions" denote the terms and conditions of sale outlined in this document, along with any specific terms and conditions mutually agreed upon in writing by the Seller.
  • "Delivery date" signifies the specified date provided by the Seller for the delivery of the Products.
  • "Products" indicate the goods offered by the Online Store as part of its operations in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
  • "Price" encompasses the cost of the Products, inclusive of packaging and VAT, excluding delivery charges. Prices are quoted in GB Pounds Sterling. The Seller retains the right to modify prices.
  • "Delivery Cost" refers to expenses associated with the delivery of goods to the Buyer, which are added to the total cost of the Order placed by the Buyer.

  • "Consumer" holds the meaning as defined in section 12 of the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977.
  • "Online Store" denotes the form of the Seller's business activity involving the sale of goods via the Internet at www.furniture-diy.com This activity is conducted within the European Union.
